The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is the Department of Labor agency charged with protecting the health and safety of the nation's workers. Because job stress can create serious workplace safety concerns, employers should incorporate job stress prevention training into their outreach and compliance assistance activities.
This Online Job Stress Prevention Training should be part of an employer's comprehensive Health and Safety Program, especially in industries traditionally at high risk for occupational accidents and injuries.
The objectives of this course focus on improving worker safety and health in the workplace through job stress prevention programs.
Workplace job stress prevention programs are not required under OSHA regulations, but employers should incorporate job stress prevention into its outreach and compliance assistance activities with regard to employee training.
This course consists of 1 section that should take about 1 hour to complete.

This course has 1 final exam. The student must complete the course section before attempting the exam.
The final exam consists of 10 questions randomly selected from a large pool of questions. A 70% score or better is required to pass the exam.
If a student does not pass the exam the first time, they may retake the exam as many times as necessary in order to pass.
This training should be combined with company specific training on the employer's Health and Safety Program.
Workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of their job.
Training Providers should be used to ensure credibility and augment a company's training program. Therefore, in addition to the training provided by an outside party, a student should receive site-specific training that is supplied by their own company. This training should target the company's unique approach to hazard prevention, including the use of site-specific equipment, health and safety policies, and emergency procedures. As a rule, this company specific training should be well documented.
